On a mesmer imp outside of Marhan's Grotto

As Stated its on a Mesmer Imp Outside Marhans Grotto Can Also be found on a Imp In Witman's Folly due east of Port Sledge. Easiest way to Cap it is to drain the imps energy with Domination and Inspiration skills.

Nice skill but is it so much better than the non elite skill energy tap?

about 100x better. Casts faster and drains more.

How do you learn skills off of an enemy character? I understand they have the skill but how do I "learn" it?

To take it from an enemy you use a signte of capture.

During the enemy's cast or just after if you click on the signet it'll capture the spell and replace the signet with the spell.

Actually it'll always capture the last skill that the enemy used that you don't have. If you're getting the wrong skill you need to hit esc key fast, you only have 2 seconds. You'll only lose the ring but they cost enough that you don't want to be buying 100.

Usually this is done to get Elite spells, those spells are very top end though. If you just want a regular spell you can get them thru the skills trader.

anyone can confirm the mobs?
i killed them several times and always got the message, that i already own even the last skill of them. also i only own mantra of recovery as elite so far.

anyone can help me, i foudn the guy, but he cast the spell so fast, by the time i press capture, it say i already have a spell cause he cast another one, i tried just press the capture non stop, that didn;'t work either.

Well, it has a disadvantage... sometimes u cant capture the skill because of the missions ending after killing the boss...

Witmans Folly is east of Droknars Forge. U get to Droknars Forge after finishing Dragons Lair mission :-)

I was unable to find any boss mobs right outside Marhan's Grotto. I checked multiple times by re-zoning. I did find it in Whitman's Folly.

Hmm I'm a bit confused.. I checked the one outside Marhan's Grotto but it seems to be an Elementalist Imp, not a Mesmer one.

For some elite skill bosses they share the spawn with another proffession. This post has links to maps with bosses shown on map (& which skill they have).
So either Snik Hungrymind or Maak Frostfiend will spawn at that location (Witman´s Folly).

This is easily one of the best elites in the game. I use it for energy management and energy deprivation at the same time on my healer Mo/Me for PvP. It has a quick cast time, gives me a good amount of energy, and steals enough energy to quickly seal and targetted enemy's fate.

say you have full energy and you cast this spell. Will it still take energy away from the enemy even though you are full of enemy and cant absorb the stolen energy?

You can just cast capture signet over a bosses dead body and choose from any skill they posses to capture. I've never met a boss with an Elite I can't capture.
